K-2 Interactive Process Assessment Resource Welcome to the K-2 Interactive Process Assessment Resource, complete with assessment tasks and related materials for grades K, 1, and 2. Classroom use of these assessments will provide a snapshot of each student's process skills at a given point in time as students problem solve, reason, and communicate mathematically. Your students will benefit, as they become more explicit when talking and writing about mathematics, and more aware of what they do and do not understand. Students learn first hand that mathematics involves creative ideas, dead-ends, multiple paths, and working through ideas, patterns and solutions. |

MathNET is an on-line, Interactive staff development tool that includes performance tasks, item-specific scoring guides, anchor papers with annotations, and student responses for you to score. This resource was developed in Vancouver School District under the leadership of Charlotte Hartman. Although additional tasks are not being added, several districts have permission to use the site. If your district or ESD is interested in knowing more about how to access this resource, contact Charlotte Hartman. Below you will find a sampling of MathNET performance assessments, each with a task-specific scoring guide. Unfortunately, the interactive feature is only available using MathNET online. Each performance task is a two-page layout. Recommend copying on one page, 11x17, or keep the two pages separate. Do not copy the task front-back to conserve paper as this will make it more difficult for students. |
